denim's not such a bad thing

I know my previous post will make you wonder what changed my mind? But I really haven't. I'm just against the mass culture of denim and tee shirt. Denim is not only used in jeans, its also used to make dresses, jackets, jumpsuits, and so on so forth.....

I still remember the first denim outfit I got was obviously a jeans, it was at the time when faded denims were in style. But the first denim outfit I fell in love with was a indigo denim shirt dress. I never got to wear it much because to the Indian standards it was a short dress. I always had a lot of jackets growing up, I had one denim jacket which was electric blue :) ( And you think the trend for bright colours is recent!) technically my brother's but he never really used it so I called it mine. one of my favourite was an oversized blue jacket with a brown wash, looked like it had been dragged through the dirt!

Wear your jacket over a printed floral dress, try your jeans with a blazer and bright pair of stilettos, or wear the waistcoat with your denim shorts. It is still the most rugged outfit in your wardrobe play with it, don't worry it won't get hurt.

gift wrapping #1

Gifts are tricky things. My objective of gifting is mostly to give the recipient a reason to smile. Gift wrapping is my personal muse. That is why the wrapping of gifts to me, is just as important the gift itself. The first sight of the gift should make you wonder what could possibly be inside the box, I try to wrap it in such a way that the task of unwrapping the gift also evokes the same excitement it took to wrap it.
I won't say this was the best gift wrapping I've done but considering I took only 2 mins to come up with it and 10 to finish, it makes it a fairly decent effort. (FYI I made it for my dad's secret Santa game at work).

the thing about jeans

Do you ever feel you can’t live without your jeans? Do you have so many jeans that after a point they all start looking the same? Do you really feel like you could live in your jeans forever and ever?

Here’s the thing about jeans, it must be the greatest creation ever in the history of fashion, and also the biggest enemy of the real fashion.  Jeans is the only trouser that individually is the most highly promoted, most worn, most idolised outfit in the world.  Do you know that the denim used to make your jeans is the cheapest fabric ever made in the world! Also the most easily coloured.

Jeans is a trend that will never be out of the market, it is an outfit that is a must have is your wardrobe. So, now the trend for flare pants is moving out let’s give them a slim fit, oh no! Let’s make it the skinny fit! Believe me ladies the jeans pant is you worst enemy, and yet have you ever wondered what makes it such a wonder pant? Have you ever met someone who has never had jeans in their wardrobe? Even my dad has one even though he rarely ever wears it.

Why is it we can’t live without jeans in our wardrobe?

curiosity is my personal paradise

Here is the thing! I love to talk. Gets me into more trouble than I would please but I still love to talk.

The other thing, I'm an idealist! yeah I said it, but it is the other thing that makes me what ever I am today.

I remember the time when I began to realise how ridiculously inquisitive I was, it was a phase in 3rd and 4th standard. I would stop teachers in the corridors just to ask "Maám is the core of Jupiter filled with iron?" (I read that in an encyclopedia). i just needed a confirmation how humans could know that, if they had never been to Jupiter.

oh ya! now you get how curious I was, I asked too many questions and found very little answers, (especially from the grown ups)  I think it's because of that bad habit of reading which my mom gave me (I'm still very grateful of it though).
"curiosity keeps us moving forward" -  Walter Disney
I love that quote, only because I believe curiosity is a creative humans infamous best friend, its the friend we never acknowledge. when was the last time you used the annoying W words? (why, when, where, who...). I bet no body will go through a whole day without asking one question! especially a curious question. Here's the thing they said curiosity killed the cat, but the fact is I've never seen a dead cat. Curiosity doesn't kill the cat, just teaches him a lesson.

My curiosity makes me explore and question the way the world works? why did god create us the way we are? why do you need to be crazy to be an exceptional human being? and why is that crazyness accepted only if your famous? Are you a crazy person with answers? do feel free to let me know about your curious achievements, mail me at mailboxcuriosity@gmail.com

On a more serious note if you are an artist, designer, musician, actor or just a creative person, let me know if you have a story of the crazy escapade that resulted in a awesome piece of work. I will share with my friends, do let me know. Mail me at mailboxcuriosity@gmail.com
