Monday blues

Blue on Monday

We all have our own personal feeling for Mondays! I used to love Mondays when I worked in retail. The most brainless day of the week, Least number of customers (managers day off!), Half the store staff is on their weekly offs. it used to be a vacation at work! I guess the time for that is over. When you choose to work for yourself (finally!) Monday is that day of work your dragged to, Because you start discovering so many responsibilities you didn't know exist. Do you still get the opportunity to dress up to work? Ya maybe a little bit enough to make you happy, and a lot more enough to be practically convenient when you know you don't have meetings for the day.
However keeping in mind fully, how fat I've grown I guess being lethargically is excusable. Or not, who knows! I decide to wear full black, yet the unsettling felling of gloominess needed a blue denim shirt as a cover up (instead of a heavy jacket) and pink socks with floral print sneakers. Oh ya, now It felt done.

summer wardrobe

Lighter Brighter Summer

Whats worse than the perfectly cool Bangalore turning incredibly hot in summer. Yup summer is setting in! and it's time for a wardrobe change. I couldn't think of a better way of starting my summer shopping with a pair of shorts. I don't even know how much longer I would survive the heat my hair down, The fringe is killing me now. summer makes me want to lighten everything I wear. Yes that means lighter cloths, lighter colours, lighter make-up, lighter footwear. I know many of you might wonder why the scarf? but hey, truth be told I find wearing a cotton scarf in summers just as good as wearing an over sized scarf in winter.

the new ugly

The UGLY trend

So what is the cause for the drift from neat sharp stilettos to chunky block heels, from neat light weight jewelery to the bold over sized awkward pieces, from Persian cats to the Sphnyx cat. I really don't know! I read a whole article about it in ELLE but it failed to make any sense. Its that tread report that drew me to this tee. It looked so perfect I had to get it! Now I'm not trying to look ugly, but for someone who was a printed T-shirt teenager in the 90's this outfit came together naturally out of instinct.

Mint in trend

CORAL OR MINT? Mint it was!

I still recall the child like excitement I felt when looking aubergine pants becoming the new trend. Actually picked them up in corduroy just because I was so captivated by the colour (I used to hate corduroy, I remember my brother's corduroy being as heavy as denim!).  It was instantly followed by Levis bringing in a huge wave of coloured denims. Secretly wished this would disappear like an earthworm, it did however seemed to settle on two adorable colours - Coral pink and mint green.

I always fancied buying coral pants, I've tried them on every where. Yet I never found the right one, then I got to busy at work and life moved on. CHEMISTRY was having a SALE, yes my friend! The devil beckoned me to enter. Yet of all the pretty things they had to offer this one stuck to me like a second skin. Once I wore it, and I knew it had to be the ONE.

As for the choice of outfit itself, I should say this would be typically me. A large scarf with a basic tee, and shoes. I still remember being identified in college as the girl who wore over sized bright colour shawls (very infamously the red one :P) with the Red converse shoes.

I know as a kid, I went to bata only for school shoes and rubber slippers. But I hate to admit it, Bata is doing well with their shoes. I don't think I still believe those shoes were @ 499! Oo and the handbags too!
p.s. I know the pictures not done justice to the shoes.
